I have been called unto repentance, twice by the Dastrups. Brett did have a semi recent addition. To a mom though, everyday isn't too often...since a mom always craves hearing from her kids. And now that I am this far away from the other kids, the need to hear from them grows and grows!! (Is that a sufficienct explanation or shall we just call a spade a spade and say senility raises its ugly head!!! Again! And I am sorry for the genetics that you inherit from me that will someday do this to you too unless Brigham finds a cure!) Anyway. Now you know. Someone elses turn!!! Love ya'll

So, we know your all busy...Brett...are you there? Earth calling Brett. Is that you? Hey, I just wanted you to know that Breanna has lost her "person who doesn'tput anything on the Blog status" It is now yours. Yeah, I know your working lots of hours, but we are withering out here in blogland wondering what is happening in your life. And Breanna, you were going to find out what kind of Cancer Landon has and let me know... are you there? Send me an email if you don't want to use your phone. Things are just hummin along here in Baltimore. I have proof that I am my mothers daughter. I made Bread today. Without salt. Major bummer dude! And I was so exasparated with myself because I even wondered if I had forgotten it and told myself that when I finished mixing it up I would taste it to know for sure, and then I forgot to taste it. Aurrghhhh! I did the same dumb thing a couple of years ago, so Kim and I had to make toast and then lightly salt the bread...it worked....
WE DID IT!!! I'm very pleased to announce the successful completion of the Baltimore Marathon by the eldest Groneman child and her humble sidekick. We came in after 4 hours and 10 minutes of running through 26.2 miles of the streets of Baltimore including a loop around Fort McHenry (remember the national anthem?). Christa ran incredibly strong the whole time and looked very athletic, powerful, gorgeous and graceful throughout. Brigham finished.
Chad and Dad Had Fun! We didn't have a camera so we have no pictures, but what a great time we had, huh Chad! We parked at Tibble Fork and rode the ATVs up the road and up the trail to Forest Lake. It was certainly the most challenging atv road I've been on...not scary, but challenging in that you had to pick your way around a lot of huge rocks and bolders and through mud holes. Fun! It was beautiful though driving up through the pines and aspens. The weather was just right. I had on a single sweatshirt and was just right. The round trip from our house took about 4 hours. We passed a jeep going up :-) I can't believe I drove my jeep up there once. Forest Lake Trail More Forest Lake Trail
Those little boys of theirs are amazing. We stood in the sun for about 1 1/2 hours watching the race and neither of them even complained! I gave Benjamin a Tootsie sucker and when he got to the chocolate part he held it up to me with a confused look on his face like what the heck is this in my sucker! I don't think he'd ever had one before!! But hey, it is a grandmas job to spoil them in every way possible, and I am doing my best!!! They are the sweetest little kids ever! (Benjamin finally went to sleep, even in the midst of Jacobs very upset cries....) LOVE THOSE BOYS!!!
Hey, this is the mother unit in Baltimore...actually, Benjamin gets very distressed when Christa calls me mom, cause I am not MOM, I am Grandma! When Christa says that I am her mother, then he will get upset and say, then I don't have a Grandma! He is the darn cutest kid, now more than ever! And he is so sweet! He has told me about 12 times today that I am cute and that he is so happy that I came to Baltimore to see him. I may never go home! I have never felt so popular in my entire lifetime! And he has thanked me, without coaching, for the toy a brought to him about 10 times today! I have never seen such gratitude out of anyone for anything! He has been WELL trained!! Maybe, I will just steal him while the kids aren't watching and bring him home with me!!! He is just SO DARN CUTE, AND I FEEL SORRY FOR ALL OF YOU WHO ARE NOT WITH ME!! Welp, Buff had to go and get sick so she couldn't come and visit her favorite pregnant sister. Thanks alot Buff. Actually, we came to the conclusion that it will be alot more fun if she comes to visit after the baby is born. Anybody who wants to come visit is welcome to come. Devin (formerly known as Cosmo at BYU) was offered a job being the Phenoix Sun's mascot. $250 K per year is tempting, but you can't do it forever and it doesn't really help build any marketable skills so he was smart and turned it down.
