So, I am still worried about little Benjamin. For those of you who don't know, he had a fever of 103.5 on Sunday when Chad was there. With no symtons...Brigham thought he probably has the flu. I am hoping if that is so, that its the short variety. I worry that they won't be able to come next monday so say your prayers, family. Dastrups, if you have time to read this, let us know how the boys are doing.

Oh crud. I don't like it when the kids are sick. I'm sure hoping that doesn't keep you from coming.

Benjamin finally woke up without a fever this morning (he's had one since Sat. night), so I think we're turning the corner with him. He still complains about not feeling well, but hopefully he'll be better by Monday. Jacob seems to be feeling a little worse, unfortunately. Luckily he has an appointment with the pulmonologist tomorrow, and hopefully she'll say that he's ok even though he sounds awful when he breathes. At worst, she could probably prescribe something for him. We'll see!

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.

potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
