FYI-- I went to our cannery today and they did say that the church wouldn't be buying white wheat until the prices stabilize (so they are selling one bag per family per week until their supply is gone), but that the Church actually grows its own red wheat, so that is still for sale. So there is no need to panic at this point. Red might not taste as good, but it will still fill you up when you are hungry. It's good to get your storage as soon as you can, but you don't need to feel like you are condemned to a death of starvation if you can't get it all right now.

After the party was over, Jacob waited until Brigham and I were busy getting kids out the door and then grabbed a big handful of cake. From the trail of cake crumbs and frosting, we gathered that he ran across the living room with it, stopped and wiped a hand on the couch, and we found him licking crumbs off of his hand while sitting on the Love Sac. Unfortunately, it was decorator's icing-- meaning it was half butter and shortning. What a mess! You'd think he hadn't almost thrown up from eating too much cake only a half an hour before!
