The Day Has Come At LAST!

Benjamin finally started school today! This morning he said, "I've waited five years for this day!" Of course he was up at 6 am and had to ask me every five minutes how much longer until he could go to the bus. When the time finally came, he did really well. He got a little quiet, but still got on the bus willingly. He came home with glowing reports of everything about school. What a relief! Now he is counting down the minutes until tomorrow morning!

Cute! You can see the excitement! So did he make some new good friends yet (still soon to tell, I know), or is his excitement more about the school activities?

After the party was over, Jacob waited until Brigham and I were busy getting kids out the door and then grabbed a big handful of cake. From the trail of cake crumbs and frosting, we gathered that he ran across the living room with it, stopped and wiped a hand on the couch, and we found him licking crumbs off of his hand while sitting on the Love Sac. Unfortunately, it was decorator's icing-- meaning it was half butter and shortning. What a mess! You'd think he hadn't almost thrown up from eating too much cake only a half an hour before!
