We made it to the Dastrup house. We arrived after about a 12.5 hour drive. One hour of that was going through the Painted desert and Petrified forest national park. Painted desert wasn't anything to get excited about as there is much better in Utah. However the petrified forest was worth seeing. I gotta tell you folks, there's a whole lot of NOTHING between Barstow CA and Flagstaff AZ through the Mojave desert. I was surprised at Flagstaff though. It's a beautiful town in the pines. It was almost dark when we went through Gallup NM and totally dark when we arrived in Albuquerque so we didn't get to see much of that part of the trip besides headlights and taillights. We went to a pumpkin patch with the boys this morning, did a corn maze, saw some animals, got to pick 3 pumpkins, and then did a hay ride. Oh, but I miss little Kiera though. I still think of her playing hide and seek down the hallway with Cambrie....*SO* cute! We're outa here on Sunday and will be home late that afternoon.

After the party was over, Jacob waited until Brigham and I were busy getting kids out the door and then grabbed a big handful of cake. From the trail of cake crumbs and frosting, we gathered that he ran across the living room with it, stopped and wiped a hand on the couch, and we found him licking crumbs off of his hand while sitting on the Love Sac. Unfortunately, it was decorator's icing-- meaning it was half butter and shortning. What a mess! You'd think he hadn't almost thrown up from eating too much cake only a half an hour before!
