Today was a landmark day for the Dastrups. For the first time we had a child participating in the Primary Program in Sacrament Meeting! Benjamin was very nervous about sitting up on the stand and talking in front of everyone (having missed all of the practices in the chapel while we were in Utah), and when the big moment arrived, Benjamin peeked over the top of the pulpit and paused... and then proceeded to confidently recite his part ("Pray every day."). It was a proud moment for Brigham and myself. His singing during the program left room for much improvement, but perhaps that was due to the fact that he was trying so hard to wink at me!

After the party was over, Jacob waited until Brigham and I were busy getting kids out the door and then grabbed a big handful of cake. From the trail of cake crumbs and frosting, we gathered that he ran across the living room with it, stopped and wiped a hand on the couch, and we found him licking crumbs off of his hand while sitting on the Love Sac. Unfortunately, it was decorator's icing-- meaning it was half butter and shortning. What a mess! You'd think he hadn't almost thrown up from eating too much cake only a half an hour before!
