Since I doubt that Chad and Erica are going to want to spend much time with us after their wedding, I propose that we have a family Christmas party the night of the 12th or 13th. We could have our present exchange, do a white elephant, maybe a pinata, the Nativity, eat a lot of unhealthy foods, and have a fantastic time together before the little love birds fly the coop. Opinions?

Whoa, are you going to be able to come early??? Cambrie & Steve won't, last I heard.

I frown on doing something the night immediately before my wedding. I think there will be some last minute things that need to be done, and I'll want to get to bed early that night. The next day is kind of a big day for me.

All snickering aside, [ahem..regaining my composure] I don't think the day before the wedding is a great day to do a formal family party. Maybe we could do it the night of the wedding...Chad and Erica could join us if they wanted. [slap! Stop that Kim]

Isn't it a Groneman tradition to have a wedding night be a game night or some other kind of party? And the one getting married is invited as th e guest of honor?

Why is this tradition changing when I get married? Don't you want me as the guest of honor?

I'm offended now. I don't think I'll come.

It was a casual invite. Traditionally it's been the bride / groom invited as the guest of honor. I'm offended and won't come.

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.
