Voting advice from Dad

With regards to constitutional changes, initiatives, etc. my advice would be to never vote FOR something that changes the status quo unless you really understand the issue.  Too many times changes have been voted for that end up having unintended consequences.  Don't vote for changing something just because someone else is, or you have heard one compelling side of the story.  The voter information pamphlet that comes out in this state is a good starting point to understand all sides of the issues.   If you don't feel you understand it, I would suggest voting against it.  If you understand it and want the change, vote for it.
