PLAN B ANYONE?
So Christa called Ivymount today to see how much the apt. for company costs and if it was available. Guess what? It is already reserved for that date.... and may be later too. They were going to call CK back about the May dates....but is there anyone out there in Groneman blog land that couldn't do it in May? Like maybe Brett might be in summer school? Need input again folks. If we needed to keep the same days....
So, how ya'll feelin about camping in the woods at night behind CK's apartments? We would have to have Nelsons and their little one inside of course. And there is the deck....but could be frosty, or rainy or....
Or we could just pile in bodies in the living room and sleep ..... Any other suggestions?

I honestly don't think that the management here would let you camp out back, and we are moving in May right after Brigham graduates, so I don't think that would be the best time to come. I will call the office and ask if they would let you use an empty apartment-- although it probably wouldn't have electricity. But we could get you lamps and flashlights, etc. if they let us do that. I'll let you know.

When we visit D.C. we can take our tents and sleep overnight at some place called the National Mall...or the front lawn of some house that's white. Either place, the grass has gotta be of the softest and highest quality--very comfortable!

a little of everything

Lots of fun happening around here. Kiera going through daddy-withdrawls after steve had to start school again. Poor little lady. Kiera has started trying to draw pictures of people now (see photo above). Kiera has officially mastered the VCR. She knows how to work it and what all of the buttons do. (I'll bet there are some 70 year olds who don't know as much as she does at age 2). Lydia has been enjoying a few firsts lately. We gave her rice cereal last night for the first time which she was apparently more than ready for (see video), we've put her in a doorway jumper which she likes although she hasn't figured out the jumping part yet. Oh, and for those of you who have been to NM lately, you'll appriciate this: Steve and I plan on applying to a government program that is somewhat like the military in that they pay for your schooling; but instead of steve being in a branch of the military, he will owe the government years of his life serving in one of th...
