In Southern Cali for the past few days it's been cool and overcast. It even "misted" for a few days which is when it feels like you are getting damp from the mist of a waterfall or something.
Anywhoo, this cool overcast weather makes me miss fall days growing up when we would come home from school to find mom baking something tasty: homemade bread, bagles, pie, granola, cinnamon twists, cookies, or something else. I think it is one of my favorite memories of running in the door and throwing my backpack on the floor and saying "can I have some?!" Thanks for baking for us mom.

GOOD NEWS! It's been very cool the past couple of days here as well (Tues it only got up to about 76 degrees...new record low high) Yer mom took the opportunity to bake a lot of stuff to put in the freezer...and I've heard she's willing to share with anyone that visits in the next week or so.

Cambrie darlin, I will make you anything you want if you will eat it! I realize that this is a tough request...but I do hope being here will help your appetite! How much do you weigh now, anyway?

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. They asked if he'd like to talk about religion and he invited them in and said he'd love to. To make a long story short, he asked what makes the Jehovah's Whitnesses special and what was their "compelling doctrine". Their response was "well, we read the bible." potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
