Moving ....

Blogging from work again. I love it.

So we found a place to move to and we will be moving on the 14th-15th of May. The place is a 2 bed 1 bath house on a somewhat busy road. It has pretty much no yard but it is a 1-minute walk away from a park. It is also fairly close to the train tracks, but we all know that a person can learn to adjust to trains. It has only 2 very small bedroom and closets (no hall closet) and so it will be a challenge to get all of our stuff put away. We'll figure it out though--this move is going to save us $600 a month (not including the savings on utilities). Moving is a PAIN though. Especially when I'm a full-time mom, a full-time nurse, and Steve is a full-time dental student. We plan on doing all of it without me taking any time off of work. So I'll bet you all know what we are doing with every second of our free time. We are getting rid of a TON of stuff. Garbage ...I mean garage sale next saturday.

Today Steve and I went to see a psychologist. It is the first step in the process of surrogacy. We have to be screened to make sure we know what we are doing and are mentally ok. The pyschologist originally quoted me $500 for our appointment today. But it ended up just being a nice chat with her. We found out that she is LDS and has a son trying to get into dental school at Loma Linda so I'm sure you know where the converstation went from there. She didn't charge us for the appointment which totally made my day : )

Moving is a pain... and a 2 bed, 1 bath home is small. We know. Do you have any storage space - like an attic or crawlspace?

Good luck with the Junk sale.

We have a garage. That is the only way we could manage to do it.

Wow. I wish I could come help you move but I'm commited to help Christa the following week and I can't take that much time off because of work projects. You gonna have the Elders quarum help you or something? How close is it to school? Will you have to buy another car for Steve or will he still be able to bike to school?

We live in a 2 bedroom with no garage and we're doing fine. It takes a little creativity but it works. The park is in our backyard, which we absolutely love.

It is not fun to move, but the savings is totally worth it. Way to go with the psychologist! That is totally awesome.
