There has been a dearth of Family gatherings...

So, I am wondering what will work best for the family to get together this weekend...Sunday would be my preferrance, but Sat works too. Can everyone come this Sunday for an afternoon of fun, cousins and food? If not, does Sat work? Waiting on feedback, and then we will organize food. Thanks ya'll! Let the party begin!

We're ready for a gathering.

There's a good reason for the lack of gatherings recently. One, you were out of town for the entire Memorial Day weekend. Two, we knew that Cambrie was coming and there will be plenty of gatherings while she's here.

I think Sunday is our preference. Let us know.

Do I dare make the suggestion that we get ready made food so Grandma has time to actually play with kids while they are here? Ya know..I LOVE good home made food but to me it ain't worth the trade off on these multiple family gatherings.

Brett, I am thinking that I would like to try your Chicken Tikka recipe for the fam, but to do it in advance. I would think because it has sauce on it, it would be just as good on day 2 as day 1. Am I correct?

So I'm good either way, but I think the Tikka Masala would be better if it were fresh. I'm working Saturday night, and going to church Sunday until noon, so I'll be pretty useless for helping to make food. I'm diggin' the get ready-made food idea. Freshetta Pizzas??

Maybe some time when I'm not working, I can contribute to making the Tikka Masala recipe. Sounds like we'll have a little bit of time with the Nelsons. Why not a some weekday for the Tikka Masala if that's what you want to do, and some ready-made, easy, not-taking-time-away-from-family-time food for Sunday night.

Katie just threw out the idea of a crock-pot food. Then it's make-able in advance.

Oh, by the way, Saturday night is not an option for me. Sorry. See my calendar on the left for my schedule.

Freshetta Pizzas works for me, but I'm not the king of the kitchen.
