We would like to announce that Steve got into Loma Linda Dental School!!!!!!!!! We are sooooo excited and happy that his 4 years of applying paid off!! Steve got a phone call from the dental school secretaries who were so excited to tell him that he is in (they are not suppose to call and tell anyone-- especially because the letters have not been mailed yet). The fact that Steve got to know them well and they liked Steve (who wouldn't?) really helped. It proves that it's who you know that helps in things like this. So our lease on our appartment ends Feb 13th so we are trying to find a place to live near loma linda. We are also packing, taking care of a newborn, Steve is working overtime, and I'm taking 9 credits of nursing courses online. Life is very busy! Life is great though-- we are so excited that we know what we will be doing with our lives for the next 4 years.

4 years? I thought dentristry was a 3 year program. Did you go house looking, what do ya know? Any further ideas as to if you will be renting or buying a house.??

She said 4 years of applying my dearest. Nothing about the length of the program. HOT DIGGITY DOG! Way to go Steve! I guess they said "We had better let him in or he'll continue to hound us until we do!" So....when you get the official letter (NEVER trust word of mouth) let us know when he starts, how long he'll be in school, Summers off?/Straight through? Details....I want details. Oh....and hug that cute little granddaughter for me.

Steve's parents took us to Red Lobster. Steve got King Crab and I got coconut shrimp. Kiera had Milk. Yummmmm

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.

Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. They asked if he'd like to talk about religion and he invited them in and said he'd love to. To make a long story short, he asked what makes the Jehovah's Whitnesses special and what was their "compelling doctrine". Their response was "well, we read the bible." potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
