Happy Birthday Dad

Yesterday I spent some time at the cemetary talking to my dad & mom & sister who are there with him. It was my dad's 90th birthday. The three of them were almost my entire life in my real early years and I spent a lot of fun times with them a little later on. I have a lot of really good memories.  It's sometimes hard not to have them around any more when I think about it.  I do miss them.  Time marches on and there is no pulling it back.  Happy birthday dad.

They are not so far away as it probably feels at times. And it is sobering to realize that we are not that far behind them.
The most important thing to do as we remember them is to live our lives here such that there will be no regrets when we join them...so that we can have those we love most eternally.

I was thinking about Grandpa today as Ty played with the blocks that he made. I wish he could have known him. I'm glad that at least Benjamin has some memories of him.
