Nelsons made an appearance at the Groneman household on Friday evening...after driving all day they arrived about 6:30 pm.....in time for dinner. I was expecting Lydia, and maybe Kiera to be a little hesitant around me, but no...they acted like we were best buds from the minute they drove in the driveway and smiled and waved at me! On Saturday morning it was COLD! This is supposed to be June but it felt like March. We went out and played in the playhouse anyway and while we were playing in the playhouse, guess who showed up? The Dastrups! We continued to play and play and in the afternoon, guess who else showed up? Another Groneman family with Emmy! All my grandkids were here. It rained in the afternoon while we were playhing in the playhouse. We decided to go to Arctic Circle for dinner and play in the play area there. We all had some good junk food and all the kids, even Jacob, enjoyed playing in the play area. It's better than the one at McDonalds. Oh...I forgot to mention, Brett played with us when he wasn't working. We were just missing Buff, Brigham, and Katie to complete the ensemble. This morning we went to church with the Nelsons and Brett. Brett had to give the opening prayer in sacrament meeting. Right now Lydia is asleep and Kira is having special time with her mom. I cooked up some curry to take up to the Dastrup's house this afternoon around 4pm when they get out of church. It's still cold outside. Been 40's most of the day so far but is not in the low 50's. It's supposed to start getting warmer tomorrow. Hope so 'cuz we have plans to go to the mountain either tomorrow or Tuesday. I've got quite a few pictures but I'll wait until after the Nelson's are gone to upload them all. It's so fun having so many cute little grandkids around. I was really surprised that Benjamin and Kiera spent so much time playing together given their age and gender difference...but they got along splendidly. The rest of the kids haven't really got the hang of playing WITH someone else yet. They all just played, but not necessarily together. Benjamin and Kiera did play together though. Anyway, Katie, Brigham, and Buff...we miss you! I'll post more in a couple of days.
