It is an interesting read, but I think our country has entered the "damned if you do, damned if you don't" phase where all we have is a choice between bad alternatives. We left the good alternatives behind long ago. When the water is half way up the wall is NOT the time you can choose to strengthen the levy to prevent disaster. All I can say is on behalf of my generation, I apologize for the mess we leave to you.
