Disneyland

(CLICK ON PICTURES FOR LARGER VERSION) A good time was had a disneyland today. Kiera protested getting on almost every ride, but liked all of them in the end. We waited in line 1 hour 45 mins to meet the princesses (too bad they didn't have her 2 favorite princesses available). Kiera requested teacups again. The only trouble with the trip was that Kiera didn't take a nap (as expected) but she also was too overwhelmed with it all to eat or DRINK and with the sun shinning on her it was a bit much. We took off for home a 3:30 PM and got very stuck in traffic. Meanwhile my exhausted little Kiera started vomiting in the backseat. About 1 hour into being stuck in traffic and having barely moved Lydia got hungry and joined the wailing from the back seat. 2 1/2 hours later we arrived home. Both of Kiera's blankets were covered in puke and therefore required washing. Kiera can't sleep without her blanket so she waited very impatiently. It's now 9pm and she is still awake and refusing all but a very little bit of fluids.
We got season passes today but I'm starting to question the wisdom.......

$59 season pass, kids get in free, and your favorite younger sister to go with...why wouldn't it be worth it?

Ahh.. The things parents do. Wait in line almost two hours, only to find that your daughter is afraid of the princess and stays away from her.

Looks marvelous. When I was a kid, going to Disneyland was a VERY, VERY special occasion. I had an Uncle that lived in Hawthorn so we had free lodging most of the time. It's cool that you live close enough to do that.

Yes, and Kiera won't be so entralled that she doesn't want to drink anything when it isn't so new. Besides, just 2 more years, and you could likely be way out of reach of a day trip to disneyland.

Lucky ladies, indeed, only if Kiera says it it's "yucky yadies" :)
