Lydia's allergy

Poor little lydia is very allergic to cow's milk. Within an hour of giving her milk yesterday for the first time we noticed severe fussiness and hives all over which went on to diarrhea and dry heaving. She still has hives today. They say that it is the most common allergy in children and that most kids outgrow it by age 3. I hope it is closer to age 1!

Poor little lady! But wasn't she eating cheese and things like crackers made with milk without problem?

One of my nephews is allergic to milk - and any thing with milk in it (chocolate, cheese - all the good things in life!). And he still is... I think he's 11 or 12.

Poor girl! That's not fun to deal with when you should be celebrating your 1st birthday in two days.

Yea....hope she grows out of it...it would be terrible to grow up allergic to Milk.

Oh no! There is soy milk, or rice milk. Hopefully she's fine with one of those until she grows out of it.

Your Aunt Anne can't do milk either...but she has gotten used to soy milk, and hey, Lydia won't have to know she is missing anything besides formula. Bummer, though!

I have never heard of an allergic reaction that caused nausea and diarrhea...are you sure that is part of it? Brigham...is that part of it?
