So last night I decided to tweak my resume a bit on monster.com, and send it out a few more places. It's now just after 10 AM, and already two companies have called and arranged interviews. I'm impressed with monster.com. Just make sure your resume has a bunch of info, and it does a very good job searching for relevant jobs. I recommend it.

Stevo: During graduate school I applied for jobs on the school website. 3 job applications a day for 6 days, for 7 months = 500+ applications. I only had 2 interviews and out of the blue, I got a phone call to interview where I work at now. I never applied there--they called me. My professor recommended me to the hospital's and the recruiter called me. And thus we see it's not what you know but who you know. Did you put some famous people down on your resume as references??? Of course, I never tried Monster.com Good luck cuñado

Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.

potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
