Kiera wore her pink dress from grandma again at church. She loves to wear it and she loves all the attention she gets from everyone in it "what is this 2-year-old prom?"

Me n' the girls are going to Albuturkey this weekend. We'll be there for 10 days making messes in the dastrup household. Hopefully steve can have a little bit more effective studying with us gone.

I'm training for a half marathon for anybody who didn't know. running by myself is B-O-R-I-N-G. All my runner friends are pregnant right now so there is nobody to run with.

I'm glad Kiera likes her dress. Grandma put a lot of work into it for that little laday so she could feel special. As for having nobody to run with, what's Buff, chopped liver?

Buff doesn't do more than 3 miles at a time. She isn't training for a half marathon any more.

I am glad that she got over the "dress falling off" bit. Erica, when you have 2 little girls I will make them some matching dresses too! That will make it all worth it huh? (having another baby?)

a little of everything

Lots of fun happening around here. Kiera going through daddy-withdrawls after steve had to start school again. Poor little lady. Kiera has started trying to draw pictures of people now (see photo above). Kiera has officially mastered the VCR. She knows how to work it and what all of the buttons do. (I'll bet there are some 70 year olds who don't know as much as she does at age 2). Lydia has been enjoying a few firsts lately. We gave her rice cereal last night for the first time which she was apparently more than ready for (see video), we've put her in a doorway jumper which she likes although she hasn't figured out the jumping part yet. Oh, and for those of you who have been to NM lately, you'll appriciate this: Steve and I plan on applying to a government program that is somewhat like the military in that they pay for your schooling; but instead of steve being in a branch of the military, he will owe the government years of his life serving in one of th...
