Bummer budget cuts

Time to brag about my husband:  yesterday he won an award for the best buisness plan of the year for the dental students.  He got a fancy plaque and $100 worth of free dental stuff (as if we didn't already have enough of that).  He really did a great job with it; I'm sure his MBA helped. 
Last year the winner got $500.  Budget cuts.
For years Loma Linda has had a policy that if a dental class ever had a 100% pass rate they each got a big reward such as Disneyland Season passes, I- Pad, etc..  Yep, you guessed it. ...... Budget cuts. 
We had to go to Cafe Rio to celebrate steve's accomplishments last night.

Congratulations STEVO! Pretty awesome, I would say! Frankly I am surprised that they are actually cutting their budget: It seems like govt. all over the land TALK about cutting the budget but then they don't.
But it is still great to be #1, right? Good for you Steve.

$100 is better than a kick in the pants. And you can never have enough toothbrushes. GOOD JOB STEVE! I'm proud of you. My kids have really chosen good partners.

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. They asked if he'd like to talk about religion and he invited them in and said he'd love to. potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
