Tomorrow we are having a LARGE group of people over for dinner so today I was doing quite a bit of cooking. I cooked 4 packages of bacon early this morning while the windows were open and the cool fresh air was coming in. It's funny what memories smells can bring back, but the smell of bacon accompanied by the cool fresh air totally reminded me of camping at the mountain property and smelling breakfast cooking in the trailer on cold mornings.

PS it was fun to have the dastrups here 2 days ago even if it was for just overnight. I believe that everyone in the family has been to the nelson's place except Bert, Katie, and Erica now. You guys are missing out. Pictures of the dastrups visit will be posted whenever I get the chance. Life is busy!

Bacon! Mmmmmmm..... Nothing better than bacon in the morning with some pancakes cooked in the bacon grease.

So, are you having people help you with food, or are you feeding the five thousand by yourself? It makes it so much easier when people bring even just one thing!

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. They asked if he'd like to talk about religion and he invited them in and said he'd love to. potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
