ATV Weekend with Geocaching & Rummy. Yesterday we (Me, Thomas's) went out by Elberta and rode ATVs. It wasn't as cold as it seemed from yer mom's post. It was about 55-60 degrees & mostly sunny and with a sweatshirt under a windbreaker it was perfect weather to ride ATV. I tried to call Brett then Chad to go with me, but I couldn't get hold of either. :-( There's really some cool rides there. There's an old railroad grade (no longer any tracks) that has a tunnel that goes through a mountain. We rode our ATVs through it which was pretty fun. We saw a couple of mines and went on some wild trails (Marilyn wouldn't have liked them). We found two geocache stashes. Chad told me about geocaching. It's pretty fun. Today we (Marilyn and I) went with Chad, Saundra & Randy up to the mountain property. Rode ATVs up/back and played rummy 5000 in the trailer. It's still pretty cold up there.

They went out on the west desert, where it is ugly. The trails they went on were so steep (some of them) that the front wheels didn't stay on the ground...Hon. Whatchasmokin'???
I don't do ugly terrain or extreme roads.You must have mistaken me for someone else if you think I would have liked that.!

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.

Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. They asked if he'd like to talk about religion and he invited them in and said he'd love to. To make a long story short, he asked what makes the Jehovah's Whitnesses special and what was their "compelling doctrine". Their response was "well, we read the bible." potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
