Having Fun With The Dastrup Clan - I've been having fun playing dinosaur Christmas with Benjamin again and again :-) Chad flew down to help Datrups move into their new home which sounds like a very nice place. He drove up with them on Sunday and they arrived VERY tired of travel on Sunday evening. The two little boys were barely in bed and were happy to see Mom & Dad. Monday we (Grandparents/Dastrups/Chad) went to the Mountain and had a picnic, rode ATVs, played some games, took a little hike, and had fun. Little Jacob wasn't feeling too hot so we went back. I fixed everyone apple/bacon pancakes yesterday morning. Mmmmmm. Brett introduced us to a new game last night called 'Mexico' which was pretty fun (especially since I won the second round!)

Last night's rounds of Mexico didn't go so well. As in the previous evening, for the first round, Brigham and I were the last two standing and, like the previous evening, I won! However, it all went downhill from there. In the next round Brigham and I were the first ones eliminated. Grandma finally won.

Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.

potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
