For the second time I can remember in my life, they canceled church because of snow. We got about 12 (or maybe more) inches of snow this morning and I spent all day until now plowing snow around the ward. Cool beans. I miss my wife. :-(

Amazing. Here in Springville we got barely enough to brush off the car this morning.

I'm glad Utah's getting the snow this year.

For some reason where I am we only got a very soggy lawn out of the weather today. The storm in Utah must have come in from the south, eh? It seems like that is the only time we get blasted. When they come in from the north, it seems to funnel through the pt of the mtn, and Lehi and south get it, but we get a skiff.

They said some places up around Odgen and Bountiful got 30" Salt Lake City got an inch.

CLICK HERE for snow totals from this last storm. Alpine got 14" and PG got 9" so my guess at 12" is about right.

Those poor Jehovah’s witnesses showed up at the door here again . They come here every few months or so. They rang the doorbell and my father-in-law (Craig) answered it. Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.

potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
