I'm officially a bachelor for a while. Marilyn drove to the Nelson house yesterday to help Steve and Cambrie and Kiera. She was going to go today, but due to the weather forecast she decided to leave yesterday. Good thing. It's now 7:40 am and (shock and surprise) it's snowing hard at our house. I'm anxiously awaiting a report on the Punkin' after she had the surgery. [waving] HI HON! I LOVE YOU! There is an upside though....if I want Spam for dinner, I can have Spam for dinner. I can turn the thermostat down to 68. Ok...well, I'd gladly trade that for my lover again, but hey... You gotta look on the bright side.

There's just something about having Mom around that makes everything better. I'm sure Cambrie's very grateful.

I only have Cambrie's cell phone number. Is there a number where Mom can be reached? The last 2 times I've called Cambrie I've been unable to talk to her, so we are anxious for an update.

Yer mom has Cambrie's phone. She says they are having a hard time regulating the "stuff" they are putting in the tube. Dunno much more than that.

Deathly Hallows A box came in the mail on Saturday...it contained TWO copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . One for me (happy birthday me from Chad) and one for Chad. I'm about 1/4 of the way through it. Do YOU have your copy?!? It's also officially my most hated time of year. Camping is over and it's HOT and even in the evenings it doesn't cool down much below 70 degrees. I can't wait for October, the best month of the year.

potty training done

Kiera is 100% in "tinkling" in her potty for 5 days now (except at night). I'd say potty training is done. I do have to say though that the transition from little potty to big potty was difficult (it didn’t help that Lydia was sick either). She would tinkle a tiny bit and then ask to go again 5-10 mins later all day long! Finally I was trying to make dinner and after being interrupted twice by her asking me to go (meanwhile my sick little Lydia cries hard when I leave the room with Kiera and if I bring her with she rolls around our nasty bathroom floor). So she came up and asked again “tinkles, mommy!” So I broke down and busted out the little potty and put her in front of the TV on it. I then picked up Lydia and nursed the poor little thing to sleep. Kiera tinkled quite and bit and was quite pleased with her self and pulled out the tray beneath the potty that holds the tinkles before I could stop her (I don’t run very fast when I’m holding a sleeping baby).
