Again, Happy Birthday Katie! (Official happy birthday post is below). Erica and I missed Katie's birthday bash yesterday, and we feel bad about it. Erica wasn't feeling too good, and still isn't 100% this morning.

We woke up this morning to two inches of snow! I had to go put up chairs at the church, and after 1/2 an hour of that, there was an additional inch! And it's still coming down. The weather people got it wrong. They said the Wasatch front valleys *might* get some snow on Monday. So much for us walking to church today.

In other news, I've officially switched from Visa to American Express. They've got better rewards overall. It's true that some places don't take American Express, but I've got a visa debit card for that.

Do you have to pay to be part of their rewards program? I've got an AMEX corporate card and it would cost me about $200/year to be part of the rewards program, but maybe that's because it's a corporate card. One good thing about Amex is that Costco accepts it. We missed you yesterday and I hope Erica gets feeling better. Yup...about 3 inches of snow here this AM and still coming down hard. The daffodils are having a hard time holding their own.

We hope Erica is better today. Fevers are no fun! We have some nummy German Chocolate cake, if you want to come play with us.... :) We could scrounge up some food too....

Lots of fun happening around here. Kiera going through daddy-withdrawls after steve had to start school again. Poor little lady. Kiera has started trying to draw pictures of people now (see photo above). Kiera has officially mastered the VCR. She knows how to work it and what all of the buttons do. (I'll bet there are some 70 year olds who don't know as much as she does at age 2). Lydia has been enjoying a few firsts lately. We gave her rice cereal last night for the first time which she was apparently more than ready for (see video), we've put her in a doorway jumper which she likes although she hasn't figured out the jumping part yet. Oh, and for those of you who have been to NM lately, you'll appriciate this: Steve and I plan on applying to a government program that is somewhat like the military in that they pay for your schooling; but instead of steve being in a branch of the military, he will owe the government years of his life serving in one of th...
