Jacob Houdini Dastrup!

You all know about Jacobs great abilities to get around the problems of a child-proof doorknob. That is history. But in a great effort to overcome Jacob's ability to take off pants and a dirty diaper then used to fingerprint with...Christa has purchased an arsenal of bib overalls, pants and shorts varietys for summertime. Some of these weapons actually come with a loop sewed on the top of the shirt for the shoulderstraps to thread through, so it is impossible for him to get them off! Finally !!! Victory was in sight!!! I say WAS because, we are dealing with Jacob here. Yes, he managed to take his dirty diaper off yesterday while leaving the clothes completely on! He was in the shorts variety of weapon at the time, so he simply reached up inside the leg, unfastened the diaper, and pulled it out...and you already know the rest of the story!

And then there is the story of "TY THE TERRIBLE!" Christa actually said she was telling him if he didn't learn to be good, she was going to sell him on E-Bay! But then she realized that you can't sell a baby, so she would have to GIVE him away! (but that might ruin her seller's rating forever!) Ty has NOT been being a good sleeper! Again, and still. We had 3 days where he did reasonably well, but he didn't stay there. Christa and Brigham have decided it is time for some tough love, and to quote them, "We DON'T NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS!" So Ty is finding out who REALLY is in charge tonight. Hard on Ty, parents, and Me!

We are not sure if it was Mary Poppins, the 3 Nephites, or what,...but guess what the wind dropped out of the sky into the Dastrup backyard today: "The Mormon Times" (From the Deseret News). They have no close Mormon neighbors. I told CK that it must have something in it that she especially NEEDS to read. Too bad she won't have time to read it!

Jacob, Jacob, Jacob......that boy! Thanks for posting the update. I certainly do wish Ty would behave himself so you can come to Moab.
