My exciting day at the doctors office:

Today when I saw the doctor she was really upset about me measuring so small and so she sent me for an non-stress test saying "if anything comes out wierd I'm sending you to Labor and Delivery". Anyway, so I went for my non-stress test and I'd only been sitting in the chair for about a minute when I suddenly felt really strange, dizzy, and I blacked out. I was only out for a few seconds and then I puked everywhere. Fun fun fun!! I guess the baby didn't like me sitting in a slightly reclined position. Good news is that everything checked out fine- the baby is just small.

Fun...not! I can tell something is in the works here. If you have a sawbones induce your baby, that's cheating! Here's the guess chart Quit puking everywhere you go. I'll bet people are getting tired of that. Just buck up will ya!

now you can have greater compassion for the compassion that I recieved from my husband while I was PG! Just gives ya warm fuzzies all over huh?

Glad that things are ok...if youre not eating enough to feed little Melwinna with...will they put you back on TPN?
I don't suppose it is all that great for the baby to be on this diet.

Cambrie-- what did your doctor say about you blacking out? Did you have an ultrasound done? I measured small with Jacob because I was low on amniotic fluid, and they can only tell that by an ultrasound. I had nonstress tests twice a week, which were always fine. They wouldn't have known about the fluid problem without the ultrasound. And as you recall, that's why I was induced immediately with both Benjamin and Jacob-- there was essentially no fluid left, which is dangerous for the baby if you go into labor on your own. Maybe you should mention my experiences to your doctor if you haven't had an ultrasound to measure the fluid.

yes, i had an US. I've got plenty of fluid.

Lots of fun happening around here. Kiera going through daddy-withdrawls after steve had to start school again. Poor little lady. Kiera has started trying to draw pictures of people now (see photo above). Kiera has officially mastered the VCR. She knows how to work it and what all of the buttons do. (I'll bet there are some 70 year olds who don't know as much as she does at age 2). Lydia has been enjoying a few firsts lately. We gave her rice cereal last night for the first time which she was apparently more than ready for (see video), we've put her in a doorway jumper which she likes although she hasn't figured out the jumping part yet. Oh, and for those of you who have been to NM lately, you'll appriciate this: Steve and I plan on applying to a government program that is somewhat like the military in that they pay for your schooling; but instead of steve being in a branch of the military, he will owe the government years of his life serving in one of th...
