Just a quick Dastrup update: For all of you who haven't heard, Brigham has received two interview offers (yes, you have to go through the whole process again to get into a residency-- it never ends)thus far. The first was to a program in York, PA (only about 45 min. from here). The second came yesterday from Ohio State-- one of our top 10 programs. It's pretty exciting stuff!

PS-- All of you living near Andrea and Terrance should stop by with Gatorade and Power Bars or something to tell them good luck with their marathon this Saturday. At least give them a call. It's a big deal, and I'm sure they'd love to feel your support and encouragement! (They are running in St. George, so you'd probably better call today or tomorrow.) If anyone has their number, I'd love to call them, too.

Ohio State. Isn't that where Bryce goes to school? Dunno....something like that. At least that's a move in the right (west) direction. When does he interview? Do I remember correctly that this will be decided sometime in January? (my brain can only hold so much stuff.....)

Yes, hopefully there will be many more interviews to come. His interview with York is on Oct. 30th, and at Ohio State it will be Nov. 14th. I think Jake is at Ohio. Bryce is in Missouri, I think. We'll find out when we match in March.

Lots of fun happening around here. Kiera going through daddy-withdrawls after steve had to start school again. Poor little lady. Kiera has started trying to draw pictures of people now (see photo above). Kiera has officially mastered the VCR. She knows how to work it and what all of the buttons do. (I'll bet there are some 70 year olds who don't know as much as she does at age 2). Lydia has been enjoying a few firsts lately. We gave her rice cereal last night for the first time which she was apparently more than ready for (see video), we've put her in a doorway jumper which she likes although she hasn't figured out the jumping part yet. Oh, and for those of you who have been to NM lately, you'll appriciate this: Steve and I plan on applying to a government program that is somewhat like the military in that they pay for your schooling; but instead of steve being in a branch of the military, he will owe the government years of his life serving in one of th...
